Christoffel Hendrickx werd geboren op 2 maart 1983 in het polderdorp Kapellen. Hij groeide op in Stabroek bij een normaal middenklassegezin dat voornamelijk bezig was met sport. Hij trok voor zijn studies Literatuur en Theaterwetenschap en een artistieke zelfontplooiing naar Antwerpen stad, waar hij al snel opgenomen werd in een netwerk van subculturen en subversieve kunsten. In een turbulent tijd als jongeling dwaalde hij tussen dichterschap, met onder meer de uitgave van twee bundels, en het dj-leven. Daarnaast experimenteerde hij met theatermaken, het organiseren van happenings en events en groen en anarchistisch activisme. Bij momenten is hij te vinden in literaire of culturele publicaties en twee maal kwam hij al tot afgewerkte theaterproducties, maar is hij veelal gekend als caféfilosoof met gevatte oneliners, internetpoëzie en bescheiden tekstperformances.

Christoffel Hendrickx was born a poet and after years of rebelion against his roots he studied Literature and Theatre at the University of Antwerp. During his last years in collage he directed some smaller plays and performances and published two books of poetry. With Frank Vercruysse (tg Stan) he produced and played ‘een tipje van de luier’ with his classgroup, which won first place at the Festival of Groningen in 2007. After his graduation he was very active in the field of crossover performance and underground literature, music and arts and he made for example the installation performance ‘Bad-End’ with visual artist Sara Schelkens.
He directed and produced a small play called ‘DeGrotenPrins’ which premiered at the Prefab Festival in Leuven and was scened again at the Scheldapen in Antwerpen. Afterwards he created the performance event ‘EVAR’ in which he made a crossbread between theatre and open events like parties and festivals.
